Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra mockup render shows One UI 7 elements
Samsung was expected to debut Android 15-based One UI 7 this year, but a keynote from the recent developer conference revealed that the update got postponed. It's now delayed to next year, and it will land alongside the Galaxy S25 series.
The update is expected to bring new features and an improved UI design. Prominent leaker Ice Universe has now offered a glimpse of what the control panel interface could look like. The leaker shared a mockup render of the Galaxy S25 Ultra with the elements of One UI 7 on its display.
As the render suggests, Samsung may implement a control center that's similar to the one found in Apple's iOS 18 and Xiaomi's HyperOS. That is, there will be a separate notification panel, which is something that past leaks have already suggested.
While it's subjective, this separate control center and notification panel on Xiaomi HyperOS make the UI look a bit streamlined. The mockup render further shows that WiFi and Bluetooth have separate tiles on the control center, which will make toggling them easy. There's also a separate section with eight quick toggles that can be expanded with a swipe.
Beyond the One UI 7 elements, the mockup render shows the rumored redesign of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. As the past reports have hinted, on the render, the upcoming flagship has rounded corners instead of sharper ones.
It also shows that the display has thinner bezels and is flat, which are two expected screen upgrades from the Galaxy S24 Ultra (256 GB curr $1,012.08 on Amazon). With these changes, the upcoming flagship phone will reportedly be more comfortable to hold than its predecessor.
