Leaker reveals probable look at Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition and Samsung W25
Hardly any time has passed since Ice Universe delivered their verdict about an important aspect of Samsung's long-rumoured limited-run foldable. In summary, the leaker discussed the state of the display crease in the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition, which they believe is 'better than ever'. Now, it seems that Evan Blass may have provided a first look at said device, evidence of which we have embedded below.
Unfortunately, Blass has only shared slices of much larger images. On top of that, they have not named the device in question. Nonetheless, the design shown has all the hallmarks of a Galaxy Z Fold model, albeit with a few key differences from the existing Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,598.90 - 512 GB on Amazon).
On the one hand, the unnamed device has a different power button and volume button layout than the Galaxy Z Fold6. For reference, the Galaxy Z Fold6 has an indented power button rather than the protruding one shown here. Added to that, both buttons appear to sit within a thinner housing, which is a long-standing rumour of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition.
On the other hand, the device has a gold mid-frame with horizontal bands overlaid, which is more ostentatious than Samsung's recent Galaxy Z Fold releases. Instead, the finish is closer to the W24, a Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold5 that Samsung sells exclusively in China. Given that Samsung has not announced a Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold6 yet, we suspect that the image may be of the W25, and by extension the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition. Currently, Samsung is expected to announce both later this month, although the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition is only rumoured to be receiving a South Korean launch for now.
