Vivo has managed to pack a lot into the new X200 Pro Mini. However, it seems that Xiaomi is also preparing to do the same with the Xiaomi 15, which should officially arrive later this month with quite a few upgrades over last year's Xiaomi 14.

Xiaomi has only recently launched the Redmi Note 14 series in China. For reference, the Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus are not available globally yet. Nonetheless leakers have now turned their attention towards the prospect of Xiaomi releasing new flagship smartphones, which have in part been aided by a Xiaomi Vice President appearing to use a Xiaomi 15 Pro in public.

Now, Yogesh Brar has provided a summary of what to expect from the Xiaomi 15 ahead of its anticipated official introduction later this month. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi is rumoured to be including a few upgrades to not only help distinguish the Xiaomi 15 from its predecessor but also to head off Vivo's new X200 Pro Mini. With that being said, the Xiaomi 15 is also thought to be carrying over some hardware from the Xiaomi 14 (curr. $829.99 on Amazon).

For instance, Brar believes that the Xiaomi 15 will arrive with a 6.36-inch flat AMOLED display that outputs at 1220p and 120 Hz, just like its predecessor. Moreover, the device will retain IP68 certification, as well as support for 50 W wireless and 90 W wired charging. Conversely, the Xiaomi 15 is said to contain a 5,500 mAh battery, up from 4,610 mAh in the Xiaomi 14.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 15 is expected to land with a trio of 50 MP rear-facing cameras supported by Leica optics. Unfortunately, it seems that Xiaomi may only include a new primary camera sensor of these three rather than also upgrading the device's telephoto and ultra-wide-angle sensors. The Xiaomi 15 should be one of the first smartphones to debut with Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset too, which is currently rumoured to be marketed as the Snapdragon 8 Elite, not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
