Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite barely manages to outperform the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 in AnTuTu. It was tested alongside a Realme GT7 Pro, one of the first devices to launch with the Qualcomm flagship.

In Geekbench, Qualcomm's soon-to-be-launched Snapdragon 8 Elite (aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) barely outperforms MediaTek's newly unveiled Dimensity 9400. That lead could be further cemented once the Qualcomm flagship officially launches. Meanwhile, their performance is a lot closer in another popular benchmark: AnTuTu.

OnLeaks and Smartprix have revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite scores 3,025,991 in AnTuTu. That is within spitting distance of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, which scored 3,007,853 points in the same test. Once again, Qualcomm holds its lead in the high-end smartphone SoC space, but this will likely chance once more smartphones with both chips hit shelves. While the Exynos 2500 is still technically a contender, information about its CPU performance has yet to show up online.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite in question was tested alongside a Realme GT7 Pro. It will be 'one of' the first devices to launch with the SoC, although there's a high chance it of it coming after the Xiaomi 15/OnePlus 13. Along with a shiny new chipset, the Realme flagship is also tipped to arrive with a 'special' Samsung screen and a periscope telephoto lens.
