Official OnePlus 13 teaser confirms recent design leak
OnePlus will be among the first manufacturers to release next-gen smartphones with what's believed to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite. A recent leak from Digital Chat Station has suggested that it won't look wildly different from the OnePlus 12, and now, the company's official teaser has confirmed it.
More specifically, the OnePlus 13 is now available to pre-order in China, and with that, the company has offered the first glimpse at the back of the phone. This teaser matches the design leak from Digital Chat Station. That is, this upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite phone has an off-centered circular camera island on the rear, similar to its predecessor.
What's different is the horizontal line connecting to the camera island, with the Hasselblad logo on the top-right side. The OnePlus 12 (12/256 GB curr. $649.99 on Amazon), on the other hand, had the Hasselblad logo inside the circular camera island. Speaking of which, the official teaser confirmed a three-camera setup on the back.
According to recent reports, among these three, the primary sensor will be a 50 MP Sony LYT808 sensor. OnePlus will reportedly pair it up with a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide and a Sony LYT600 periscope with 3x optical zoom.
Other rumored specs of the OnePlus 13 include IP68 and IP69 water resistance rating, ultrasonic fingerprint reader, 6,000 mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and 100W wired charging. The company recently confirmed that the phone will feature the next-gen BOE X2 display, which is said to be an LTPO screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. There's no official word about the launch date yet, but it's expected to be announced before November.
