RedMagic's upcoming tablet is now backed to launch with class-leading power packed into a small package. Nevertheless, it is also set to debut with the type of battery traditionally associated with Android slates with displays larger than its currently rumored size. The Gaming Tablet 2 will also debut with much faster charging than the vast majority of its peers.

The upcoming second-gen RedMagic tablet's metallic, yet ventilated and fan-cooled, chassis will indeed have a surprisingly small screen: one of 10.9 inches in diagonal length, in fact, according to the widely-regarded leaker Digital Chat Station.

The device's AnTuTu-busting Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version platform will drive a refresh rate of 144Hz for this 2.8K (2880 x 1800) display, which will be kept on with a potentially impressive 10,100mAh battery.

The 16:10 tablet is, moreover, rated to charge at up to 120W: speeds more often found in high-performance Android smartphones. The device's official teasers have confirmed these specs - with the exception of the screen size and active cooling thus far.

Those details now have about 2 days from today (September 3, 2024) before being confirmed or denied during RedMagic's next tablet launch event. In the meantime, the brand has also made tantalizing reference to support for glasses-free 3D content and even content creation on the upcoming high-end Android slate.
