Pitaka might be among the best prepared to take Apple and its new TechWoven cases with signature finishes such as Sunrise, Moonrise and Twill, joined by new Milky Way and Over the Horizon designs in the company's answer to other iPhone 17 cases from OEMs such as ESR and Spigen.
Pitaka's latest colorway is available in its entry-level Ultra-Slim Case, the only variant available for the iPhone 17 and Air as well as the Pro and Pro Max.
It is made of "aerospace-grade" aramid fiber nonetheless, of just 0.88mm in depth for a "caseless" feel. The higher-end ProGuard and UltraGuard Cases are thicker at ~2mm, yet are rated to conform to "military-grade" standards of drop protection in their construction, integrating aramid weave fiber and custom Pitaka hybrid TPU/aramid-infused Orca Resin respectively.
The ProGuard cases also boast "arched" corners for extra protection, while their UltraGuard counterparts are touted to deliver the same along with advanced wear- and scratch-resistance thanks to their "3D-thermoformed" unibody design.
The full iPhone 17-series case range is available on Pitaka's website from now, while the Ultra-Slim Cases for the Air, 17 Pro and Pro Max have made their way to Amazon at the time of writing.
They start at $49.99 (or $59.99 for variants with Pitaka's in-house aramid-augmented Camera Control covers), while the ProGuard cases go for $59.99 while the line's UltraGuard flagships start at $79.99.
