The iPhone 17, the iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 Pro (Max) will arrive at customers starting Friday, September 19. On its updated support page, Apple has now confirmed how much owners will have to pay for certain repairs on these new smartphones. There are barely any changes compared to the iPhone 16 series.
Replacing a cracked or otherwise defective display costs between $329 and $379, while a new battery is priced at $99 or $119. For new rear cameras, Apple charges $169 for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, and $249 for the triple-camera system on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. For more extensive damage, an iPhone 17 repair can cost up to $599, while Apple charges up to $699 for the iPhone Air, $749 for the iPhone 17 Pro and $799 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In the future, Apple's self service repair store is expected to offer replacement parts for the iPhone 17 series. However, these parts are often so expensive that it's hardly worth doing the work yourself. Customers who want to save money will likely have to rely on third-party parts, as usual. First teardowns will probably show how easy or complicated certain repairs are.
