Philips Hue has recently issued firmware updates for the Hue Bridge and the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 4K. These are both relatively minor releases, arriving a few weeks after their predecessors.
The Philips Hue Bridge (curr. $41.89 at Amazon) is receiving software version 1970188010. The release notes indicate that there are general performance and reliability improvements for this smart lighting hub, though no further details are provided. According to the company, it should have reached all users of the Hue Bridge.
Meanwhile, the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 4K (curr. $249.99 at Amazon) is receiving firmware version 2.5.1. Again, the release notes here are sparse, indicating that there are general bug fixes, and this update should be available to most if not all, users at the stage of the rollout. As a reminder, at the start of April, Philips Hue rolled out version 2.5.0 for the HDMI Sync Boxes. This also brought bug fixes to the 4K model, while the 8K variant gained support for Display Stream Compression (DSC) pass-through, 3D content pass-through and 144Hz light syncing.
To ensure you receive these updates, check that you have automatic updates switched on in the Philips Hue app; you can do this by going to Settings > Software update > Automatic update.
