Dreame L40s Pro Ultra: New powerful robot vacuum cleaner launches

The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop has been quietly launched in several European countries, including the UK, Spain and Italy. This model has a couple of upgrades compared to the older L40 Ultra robot vacuum, which was launched in 2024.

There is a major boost to the maximum suction power, increased from 11,000 Pa to 19,000 Pa. A new feature for L40s Pro Ultra is fast charging, with the docking station said to charge the robot vacuum up to 30% faster than its predecessor. There also appears to be an improvement in obstacle avoidance technology, which uses a combination of AI, RGB, LED and dual rather than single lasers to help it navigate your home.

Many of the other features are identical to the L40 Ultra. These include the HyperStream detangling DuoBrush and RoboSwing arm for sweeping, and the DuoScrub and MopExtend for mopping, designed to enable the robot to clean every inch of the room. It uses LiDAR navigation to move around your home, and EasyLeap enables the robot to climb over obstacles up to 4 cm (~1.6 inches), like a door threshold. The robot can be remotely controlled via the brand’s smart home app or with voice commands. Plus, the 8-in-1 docking station is said to provide up to 100 days of hands-free cleaning, intelligently emptying the onboarding dustbin and washing and drying the mops. 

You can now buy the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop at the brand’s online store in the UK for £799, dispatching immediately. It is also available via Amazon for €899 in countries like Spain, Italy and Germany. However, these Amazon listings suggest that customers should expect delivery between June and November 2025. In Germany, you can also buy the robot vacuum via MediaMarkt, which offers an immediate delivery option in some regions. At this price, the new model is currently only £50/€50 more expensive than the L40 Ultra. It remains to be seen when the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra could launch in the US.
