PANDAER x AYANEO: Meizu presents custom handheld games console with an OLED display and an AMD Ryzen 5 5560U
Meizu has presented the PANDAER x AYANEO, a handheld games console developed by AYA NEO. As its name suggests, Meizu also worked with PANDAER, a graphic artist. Fundamentally, the PANDAER x AYANEO is a custom AYA NEO AIR Pro, the full specifications and prices of which AYA NEO announced last month.
As such, the PANDAER x AYANEO has a 5.5-inch OLED display that resolves at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a 224 x 89.5 x 28 mm chassis that weighs 410 g. Additionally, the device relies on the AMD Ryzen 5 5560U, plus 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM running at 4,266 MHz and a 512 GB SSD. For reference, the AMD Ryzen 5 5560U has Zen 3 CPUs and a Radeon RX Vega 6 iGPU with 6 Compute Units clocked at 1,600 MHz.
Potentially, the PANDAER x AYANEO will operate at between 5-15 W and will have a 7,350 mAh battery (28 Wh), plus a modem that brings Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Currently, the PANDAER x AYANEO is orderable in China through Meizu's website. Available through a crowdfunding campaign that has already exceeded its campaign target, the PANDAER x AYANEO costs CNY 3,999 (~US$592). Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage whether AYA NEO or Meizu will release the PANDAER x AYANEO globally.
