It is no secret that OnePlus is preparing to launch a new foldable smartphone soon. While OnePlus has not confirmed anything yet, parent company Oppo has revealed that the Find N5 will arrive next month. Given that the Find N3 and OnePlus Open are one and the same device, there is no reason to think that anything will change this time around.
New photos have offered a glimpse at the state of both devices, too. The first photo provides a closer look at their new side profile, which is significantly thinner than the Find N3 or OnePlus Open (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon). To that end, Oppo teased just how thin 'the thinnest folding flagship' in a recent video posted on Weibo.
The reduction in thickness appears to make the device's frame particularly pronounced, though. As a result, we would not be surprised if this jutted out more than it does on competing flagships like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold or Galaxy Z Fold6. Still, the Find N5 and Open 2 are expected to be noticeably thinner than all but the Magic V3 of recent foldable smartphones.
Meanwhile, the second image offers a glimpse at the Oppo and OnePlus' new camera housing, within which sits three lenses. The rectangular design of a periscope telephoto lens can be made out, as can the sheer size of the new camera housing. Specifications remain unknown for now, although we doubt that Oppo and OnePlus will include hardware downgrades in any areas.
