The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is essentially projected to launch as a new version of the 12R (that currently starts at $449.99 on Amazon) with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in place of the ex-flagship 8 Gen 2.
Despite this, it is also believed not to look like its existing predecessor - however, it might not exactly resemble the updated Ace 3V (its mid-range counterpart) either.
The eminent leaker Digital Chat Station now asserts that OnePlus plans to make the Ace 3 Pro stand out with a rear panel made of ceramic rather than glass or on-trend vegan leather: a design inspired by a very specific sports car.
Apparently, the Ace 3 Pro should evince the "world's only ceramic (or porcelain, rather) version" of the Bugatti Veyron: the Grand Sport L'Or Blanc. The vehicle does indeed incorporate the material in its shell and interior, yet is rated to go at up to 258 miles per hour with over 1,000 horsepower while doing so.
As a company that once made a Jupiter-effect custom rear panel out of tiny micro-crystals, OnePlus might indeed be capable of reproducing the L'Or Blanc look on the back of a new smartphone.
Then again, there are no other indications that the OEM really intends to do so, or that it will seek an official collaboration with the car-marque implicated in this new leak, to date. Could the Ace 3 Pro become the world's first Bugatti x OnePlus smartphone?...that remains to be seen.
