Tipster shares some core specs of OnePlus Ace 3 Pro
OnePlus 12 (available on Amazon) and OnePlus 12R (available on Amazon) have begun to reach the users who have pre-ordered them. But it seems that OnePlus has already started to test out the upgraded version of the 12R, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. At least, that’s what a well-known Weibo tipster named Smart Pikachu is claiming.
For those unaware, the OnePlus 12R is the international variant of the standard Ace 3. OnePlus released it in China at the beginning of this year and rebranded it as the 12R for the global markets. Like the regular lineup, the Ace range also has a standard and a Pro model, and it’s the latter that usually comes with the latest SoC.
So, while the non-Pro variant packs the last-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Smart Pikachu’s recent report suggests the same. The Weibo leakster shared that the company is testing out the device with the current flagship Qualcomm SoC.
Smart Pikachu has also shared the maximum memory and storage configuration of the Ace 3 Pro. OnePlus will reportedly launch the phone with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. To compare, the non-Pro device maxes out at 16 GB of RAM, but it did come with up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
While all this sounds great for a phone that’s in the budget-friendly range of OnePlus, the device is unlikely to step outside China. In the past, the company kept the Pro devices within the Ace series exclusive to the Chinese market. It’s only the non-Pro variant that sees a rebranded international release. As for the other expected specs of the Ace 3 Pro, the tipster only shared that it would come with a curved screen. More reports could follow soon.
