OnePlus 15T camera specs confirmed alongside first real-life samples ahead of launch

The upcoming OnePlus 15T flagship compact smartphone has been the subject of a plethora of teasers in the past few weeks. Following in the footsteps of the 13T, the upcoming 6.32-inch compact flagship is set to arrive early next week, on the 24th of March.
In the most recent batch of teasers, OnePlus has confirmed details regarding the smartphone's camera setup. According to a Weibo post made by the brand, the OnePlus 15T will feature a 50 MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, as well as a 50 MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom capabilities. It has also been mentioned that the primary shooter will utilize a 1/1.56-inch sensor made by Sony.
A few real-life shots taken by the OnePlus 15T smartphone have also been shared, which can be found above. However, since these are first-party samples shared via social media and are subject to compression, readers are definitely advised to treat them with some skepticism and hold back from rushing to conclusions.
Needless to say, an accurate assessment will only be possible with real-life testing of the compact smartphone.
That said, the portrait mode does appear to have some flaws. For instance, the girl in the red dress in the second photo is wearing a hat, a specific portion of which has been incorrectly blurred, revealing that the edge-detection algorithm needs some work.
Other notable features of the OnePlus 15T compact flagship smartphone include the aforementioned 6.32-inch display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a 7,500-mAh battery, 100-watt fast charging support, and 50-watt wireless charging support among others.
Considering that the OnePlus 15 currently starts at $899, we can expect the compact version to be slightly cheaper.
