Apple's iPhone 17 series may only be a few months old at this point but rumors have already begun to surface about the iPhone 18 lineup, with the latest of them potentially dashing some hopes.
While previous reports have claimed that Apple could be set to implement major changes on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Chinese leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims such reports may be inaccurate. Supposedly, the changes to the phones' exteriors are "not as significant as many imagined".
The iPhone 18 Pro phones are expected to retain the rear design of their predecessors, but recent reports have claimed they could ditch the Dynamic Island entirely—thanks to a new under-display Face ID setup. If the leaker's claim is anything to go by, those rumors may be wide of the mark. Either way, it's said that mass production of the phones could begin before mid-February, so more accurate information on the matter can be expected to surface around that time.
