Soon-to-launch OnePlus Turbo scores high on AnTuTu despite lacking flagship SoC

There have been reports about OnePlus working on a Turbo series phone, and the brand has recently confirmed the existence of the device. The smartphone has also been spotted on Geekbench, and the early listings suggested that it won't be a flagship offering like the OnePlus 15R or 15.

To be specific, the Geekbench listings of the yet to be formally announced OnePlus Turbo shared that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The same has now been confirmed by AnTuTu, as an OnePlus device with the same PLU110 model number has been spotted on the platform.

This Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is basically an upper mid-range SoC that is regarded as an affordable alternative to the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite. While it can still deliver great overall performance, it may not be the right choice for a phone that's expected to go against the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 Pro.

Getting back to the AnTuTu listing, as shared by the official account, the OnePlus PLU110 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage gets an overall V11 benchmark score of 2,609,327 points. This is an impressive score for a phone that's powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

Recent leaks have also suggested that the OnePlus Turbo will come with a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a large 9,000 mAh battery with fast charging support (140 W Anker charger curr. $64.99 on Amazon), and a metal mid-frame. The Chinese launch is expected to happen in January 2026, and the phone will reportedly see a global debut.
