Lenovo has given one of its latest 14-inch ThinkPads a wider international release. Equipped with up to 32 GB of RAM in a relatively lightweight body at under 1.4 kg, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 also lasts over 28 hours in official battery life tests thanks to a 64 Wh battery and Intel Wildcat Lake processors.

Lenovo's latest Wildcat Lake-based ThinkPad has now reached Europe after launching globally in July. Arriving on PSREF over a month ago, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 then debuted a few days later in Australia plus parts of East Asia and Southeast Asia.

For the time being, we cannot find equivalent North American listings in Canada or the US. By contrast, the 14-inch laptop is available across Europe in at least France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK as a replacement for the Gen 7 model we reviewed in July 2025 (curr. $849 on Amazon).

At the time of writing, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 (WCL) can be configured with the Core 3 304, Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 and 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. While user-replaceable, Lenovo includes a single DDR5 SODIMM slot. As a result, these Wildcat Lake variants run in single-channel mode, a downside we ran into when reviewing the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IWC11 with the Core 7 350.

Also, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 (WCL) comes with a single M.2 2242 slot, Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and a 48 Wh or 64 Wh battery inside a housing that measures 313 x 220.3 x 10.1~15.25 mm and starts at 1.34 kg. According to Lenovo, its new 14-inch ThinkPad lasts 28.45 hours in the JEITA-BAT 3.0 tests and for 28.48 hours when playing local videos at 150 nits.

Pricing starts at £806.59 in the UK while varying between €741 and €987 in the Eurozone. By default, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 (WCL) contains a Core 3 304 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD, a 48 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and a non-touch display. All SKUs ship with a 400-nit IPS display that resolves at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with 45% NTSC colour space coverage and an anti-glare finish. A touchscreen variant can be configured for an extra £30/€30. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
