Motorola is not hiding the fact that it has a successor to the Edge 60 up its sleeve. In fact, the company has confirmed that the Edge 70 will debut globally on November 5. Based on recent leaks and rumours, the Edge 70 serves as the global version of the Moto X70 Air, which Motorola unveiled last week in China.
With Edge 70 specifications having already leaked via an errant retailer, Motorola has now sought to get in on the act by revealing a few details about its new smartphone ahead of schedule. As the images below show, the company has confirmed the Edge 70 features a 4,800 mAh silicon-carbon battery, surpassing the capacities of the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge in the process (curr. $689 on Amazon).
Moreover, the Edge 70 contains a 6.67-inch pOLED display and is IP69 certified against dust and water ingress. Nonetheless, the Edge 70 weighs in at 170 g and is only 5.99 mm thick, excluding its camera housing. Motorola will reveal more Edge 70 details on October 22 and October 29.
In the meantime, the company has suggested that Edge 70 orders will come with over €300 (~$350) and £340 (~$455) worth of launch bonuses, including a year's screen damage protection and a Moto Watch Fit, among other accessories. Please see Motorola's website to enter its competition to win these bonuses before launch day.
