The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been on store shelves for less than six months, and while it has been reported that there won't be a successor to the incredibly thin smartphone, the device has received a significant discount so soon after its release.
This isn't the first time the Galaxy S25 Edge has received a significant price cut. Last month, the base model of the phone, which has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, was slashed by 36%, bringing the launch price of $1,099 down to $699.99. Now, Amazon has slashed the price once again, but this time, the focus is on the higher storage variant with 512GB of storage.
Costing $1,219.99 at launch, the Galaxy S25 Edge with 512GB of storage can currently be purchased for $729.99 on Amazon. That translates to a 40% discount. The price reduction only applies to the Titanium Jet Black and Titanium Silver variants. If you want the Titanium Icyblue variant, you will have to pay a bit more, as it costs $819.99.
Amazon has also slashed the price of the base model with 256GB of storage. Limited to the Titanium Silver version, Amazon has knocked the price down to $689.99, making it slightly cheaper than it sold for in September.
Galaxy S25 Edge Specs
The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 3120 × 1440 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, just like the other Galaxy S25 models. The phone has a 200MP primary rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide-angle camera. It also has a 12MP front-facing camera.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back. It also has a titanium frame and has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. There's a 3,900mAh battery under the hood, and it supports 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung ships it with Android 15, and it will receive 7 years of OS upgrades and security updates. Other features are Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Ultra Wideband support, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC, and stereo speakers.
Galaxy S25 Edge: Made better by a price cut
In our review of the Galaxy S25 Edge, we praised its premium build despite being thin and light. It also impressed us with its battery life despite being smaller than that of the Galaxy S25. Samsung fumbled by limiting its charging speed to just 25W. The 200MP camera also captures beautiful shots, but the lack of a telephoto camera is a bummer.
At its full price of $1,099 or $1,219.99, the Galaxy S25 Edge is a hard sell. But for less than $700 for the base model and $730 for the 512GB version, its shortcomings are easier to forgive.
