Most configurable: This new Dell Pro laptop now has LPCAMM2 memory and Intel Core Ultra X7

When we talked with Lenovo about their new ThinkPad T series, they believed that they were the only ones coming the to the market with LPCAMM2 memory in 2026. Well, Lenovo was wrong, as Dell just announced something that matches the ThinkPad T series in this regard: The new Dell Pro 5 14 and Dell Pro 5 16.
These new Dell business laptops are replacing last year's Dell Pro Plus, bringing back a numbered naming scheme. More importantly, Dell is revamping the design, changing from silver to dark grey, all aluminum designs that are much thinner on the new Dell Pro 5 laptops.
That is not all, naturally. The Dell Pro 5 14 and Dell Pro 5 16 are the most configurable options in the lineup, as they include all mainstream CPU options from Intel and AMD - including up the the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 400, and the Intel Core Ultra X7 CPUs with the most powerful Intel iGPU, the ARC B390. Wildcat Lake, also known as Intel Core Series 3, is also coming soon.
LPCAMM 2 memory in another mainstream business laptop
Naturally, to be able to support the ARC GPUs, you need to use LPDDR5X memory. Dell could have gone the easy route and soldered it, which would have been cheaper too, but they instead went with replaceable LPCAMM2 memory on those ARC GPU variants - SO-DIMM is available for the regular Core Ultra 300 CPUs and AMD variants.
Besides the advances in memory technology, the new Dell Pro 5 series is also noteworthy for its interesting screen options, which include WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) OLED panels as well as 120 Hz WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) IPS screens.
