Miyoo Mini Flip revealed in four colours before official release
Anbernic has now refreshed the RG35XX SP in a new set of translucent colour options. Incidentally, the company is also rumoured to be preparing the RG406P as a landscape alternative to the existing RG406V (curr. $249.98 on Amazon) and the RG408 with two sets of displays. However, it also seems that Miyoo is not too far behind with the release of its long-awaited clamshell retro gaming handheld.
Unfortunately, Miyoo is still yet to confirm when the Mini Flip will make its full official debut. With that being said, a photo showing what appears to be the device's launch colour set has now been published online, which we have reproduced below. Until now, the Mini Flip had been pictured in black and yellow finishes, albeit months apart.
Based on the image below though, Miyoo plans to deliver its RG35XX SP rival in light and dark grey colour options as well with Nintendo-themed XABY buttons. Purportedly, the company is in 'the final preparations' of Mini Flip development and hopes that the device can be launched soon. The Rockchip RK3566 chipset that is said to underpin the Mini Flip can already be obtained in numerous gaming handhelds though, including the new ZPG GKD Bubble. Thus, the Miyoo Mini Flip should broadly offer the same performance as many other budget gaming handhelds, which will equate to emulating sixth-generation game consoles like the Dreamcast, N64 and PS1, as well as the newer PlayStation Portable.
