Minisforum releases new mini-PC globally with 32 GB RAM and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet

Minisforum has returned to its EliteMini NAB9 series after recalling NAB9 units almost a year ago due to faulty capacitor materials. This time, the company has added to the series with the NAB9S, which is already available to purchase globally.
For context, Minisforum already sells the NAB9 and NAB9 Plus with Intel's Core i9-12900HK processor. By contrast, the newer NAB9S switches to the Core i9-13900HK. However, Minisforum's global website erroneously mentions the more powerful Core i9-13900HX instead.
Setting that mistake aside, the Core i9-13900HK should provide the NAB9S with faster single-core performance compared to its Core i9-12900HK-powered counterparts thanks to a 400 MHz boost to its six Golden Cove P-Cores. Apparently, this moderately more powerful processor is joined by an improved cooling system, which adopts dual heat pipes and dual airflow channels.
Unfortunately, these changes coincide with Minisforum removing the OCuLink port found in older models. The NAB9S does not contain a USB4 port, either. Instead, Minisforum has included the following ports:
- 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm combo jack
- 2x HDMI
- 4x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 3x USB 3.2 Type-C
Pricing starts at JPY 69,599, €429, £369 and $399 as a barebones unit. This is true on Amazon too, where the NAB9S is already available to purchase. Likewise, Minisforum is selling a version with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for $759, both on its website and on Amazon. Please see Minisforum's website for more details.
