SilentPC launches waterproof fanless mini PC powered by AMD's Ryzen 9000X CPUs

The newest addition to the SilentPC portfolio of fanless SFF models is the sealed water resistant mini PC based on the Akasa Pascal case that measures 9.3 x 13.4 x 3 inches and offers an IP65 rating with complete water and dust proofing.

More than half of the price goes into Akasa’s state-of-the-art case the also allows to silently cool AMD’s Zen5-based desktop-grade processors like the Ryzen 5 9600X with 6 cores / 12 threads boosting to 5.4 GHz or the Ryzen 7 9700X with 8 cores / 16 threads and 5.5 GHz boost. Thanks to the advanced water and dust proofing of the Akasa case, this mini PC can easily be installed inside a boat or car.

Additionally, this system features an Asrock X600TM-ITX motherboard that supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM and comes with 2x PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD slots as well as 2x SATA connectors for the storage side. SilentPC offers storage options up to 8 TB.

Port selection includes a 1x  USB-A 3.2 10 Gbps, 2x USB-A 5 Gbps, USB-C 3.2 10 Gbps, audio jack plus HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 video outs that connect to the integrated Radeon GPU with two cores. SilentPC offers only wired GbE connectivity via the Realtek RTL8111H provided with the motherboard, but users may add a Wi-Fi module via the M.2 2230 slot.

Unfortunately, due to the price of the Akasa case and the ongoing RAM and storage shortages, this mini PC has a prohibitive price, even on the default configuration that starts at $3,350. For this price, SilentPC offers the ASRock motherboard with a Ryzen 5 9600X, 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM from Crucial, 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD, Windows 11 Home license, and a 1-year warranty.
