Palm-sized Peladn mini PC launches with affordable starting price

Peladn has launched a new Intel-powered mini PC in China, the WI-7, with the Pentium Gold 7505. This is a power-efficient Intel processor from the Tiger Lake-U generation, and it features a two-core configuration.
While this Pentium processor won't be winning any benchmark charts, it can offer a similar level of performance to the Intel Core i5-8265U, meaning that everyday tasks shouldn't be a problem. A big highlight of the mini PC is its size. It's palm-sized, measuring 115x106x37mm, and Peladn highlights that it weighs only 290 grams.
Even though it's small in size, the mini PC has a good number of ports, including:
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2x HDMI 2.0
- 1x 10Gbps USB Type-C
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x 3.5mm audio
It's worth noting that the USB Type-C port has support for DisplayPort 1.2, bringing support for triple-display output. This Peladn mini PC has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, and the company further highlights that an optimized airflow design and a turbo fan ensure stable performance under heavy loads.
The company is offering the mini PC in two configurations. One of them comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, and it costs CNY 1,189, about $175. The other features 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, which is going for CNY 1,699, about $250. Users can upgrade the storage through three M.2 slots (1TB Samsung 990 Pro curr. $239.99 on Amazon), but the memory is soldered. It's also worth mentioning that Peladn hasn't shared anything on the global launch yet.
