GMKtec launches repackaged Strix Halo mini PC with 2x higher price

GMKtec has been teasing the EVO-X3 for a good while, and now, the performance-focused mini PC is available to purchase. At launch, the company is offering it with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which is the same Strix Halo APU that powers the EVO-X2.
There are two configurations available, and the base configuration comes with 128GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. This configuration has a launch price of $3,600, which is 2x the launch price of the EVO-X2 with the same memory and storage.
It’s worth noting that the GMKtec EVO-X2 launched before the market became unstable, but it’s interesting to see the company offering an iterative mini PC powered by the same APU. Of course, the EVO-X3 isn’t a fully identical system.
One of the major changes is the design, and as GMKtec highlights, the EVO-X3 comes with a PS4-sized chassis. Another notable change is the inclusion of the OCuLink port, which was missing on the EVO-X2, expanding its support for external expansions.
The mini PC retains the USB4 port from the EVO-X2, which also brings 100W PD support (Ugreen Nexode Air 100W curr. $35.99 on Amazon). Other than that, there are two M.2 slots with each having support for up to 8TB, making the total storage support stand at 16TB. GMK also highlights that the cooling setup features three silent fans, and the system can reach 140W in the highest power mode.
WiFi 7, thin chassis, and pre-installed Claw system are among the other highlights of the GMKtec EVO-X3. The mini PC is also available in another configuration, which comes with a 4TB SSD, and it costs $3,849. Subscribers can score a $20 discount from these launch prices, and it's worth noting that the company plans to offer the mini PC with the Ryzen AI Max+ 495 in late 2026.
