GMKtec releases cheaper AMD Strix Halo desktop with 128 GB RAM and 96 GB VRAM

GMKtec has released numerous mini-PCs lately. For instance, the company started selling the EVO-X1 Pro only a few days ago. Shortly before that, it introduced the EVO-X3 powered by AMD's Strix Halo platform.
Now, it has returned to the EVO-X2, a mini-PC that originally launched in April 2025. Reviewed by ourselves a few months later, the EVO-X2 extracts top performance from its Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chipset with next to no sign of thermal throttling. With AMD's Gorgon Halo and Medusa Halo platforms not ready yet, GMKtec has updated the EVO-X2 with a new variant powered by the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chipset.
Specifically, GMKTec is now selling the EVO-X2 with 128 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. A cheaper entry point in obtaining the mini-PC with 128 GB of RAM, this new release comes in at $150 less than GMKTec's prior 128 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD option (curr. $3,649 on Amazon). With that being said, GMKtec charges $1,500 more for the EVO-X2 with 128 GB of RAM than if you opt for 64 GB of RAM.
Still, choosing the former allows you to assign up to 96 GB of VRAM to the Radeon 8060S iGPU. Additionally, GMKtec is offering a $15 discount when applying coupon code EVOX215N at checkout. Please see our original EVO-X2 review and GMKtec's website for more details.
