Reports have started appearing with the news that Xiaomi should soon be rolling out MIUI 12.5 throughout July for numerous devices that run on either the Global or EU (Europe) ROM. With MIUI 13 expected to make an appearance in the next couple of months, possibly making its debut in an upcoming flagship smartphone such as the Mi Mix 4, Xiaomi needs to push harder with its MIUI 12.5 rollout before shifting more focus to the next-generation Android skin.
A list of 14 Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones has been drawn up, which contains some of the most popular midrange and affordable devices currently offered by the Chinese OEM. The phones that are expected to get MIUI 12.5 in July are as follows:
- Mi 10, Mi 10 Lite 5G, Mi 10T Lite
- Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Pro, Mi Note 10 Lite
- Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9T
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi 9
- POCO X3 NFC
- POCO F2 Pro
While you would expect the Mi 10 and Mi Note 10 smartphones to appear on this MIUI 12.5 list, along with the Redmi Note 9 devices, there will be many welcoming the inclusion of the highly popular Redmi Note 8 Pro, which was released in August 2019. The POCO F2 Pro is basically a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro while the POCO X3 NFC has been a huge smash hit for the former subsidiary of Xiaomi (POCO became independent in 2020).
