Not long ago we published an Android 12 update list created by Xiaomiui and now a newer list has been posted with quite a few changes included. Only the Redmi Note 9 (Global), Redmi 10X 4G, and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite remain in the “devices may get Android 12” section as the rest have been moved to the “will get Android 12” column. This means good news for owners of the Redmi 9T, Redmi Note 9 4G (China), and the Redmi 9 Power.
However, while it’s now expected that those devices will get Android 12, it’s bad news for three POCO smartphones that have been relegated from the “will get Android 12” section to the “won’t get Android 12” list. Previously, the POCO M2, POCO M2 Reloaded, and POCO C3 looked set to get the software update, but it appears Xiaomiui’s latest research has led to the belief that this trio of devices will join the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K20 in the “won’t get Android 12” column.
Additionally, there has seemingly been some progress in regard to smartphones being internally tested with the beta build. Six new smartphones have joined the Mi 11 series in this particular section: Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Redmi K30S Ultra. It’s clearly full steam ahead at Xiaomi in terms of testing, although there will be some disappointed POCO owners who may have been expecting an Android 12 update and now likely won’t receive it.
