Xiaomi has released the July 2021 security patch to the Mi A2 Lite, three years to the month that the device debuted. This month's update is the last guaranteed for the Android One handset.

Xiaomi has issued another monthly update for the Mi A2 Lite, one of the few Android One handsets that the company released. V11.0.21.0.QDLMIXM follows on from V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM, which only upgraded the Mi A2 Lite to the June 2021 Android security patch. Similarly, V11.0.21.0.QDLMIXM brings the handset onto this month's patch.

Xiaomi does not publish what changes the July 2021 security patch makes to the Mi A2 Lite. However, Google publishes all the CVEs it addresses in its monthly Android Security Bulletin. Unfortunately, it is unclear if Xiaomi has applied the July 1 or July 5 patch. The latter includes all the former's fixes, for reference.

The Mi A2 Lite arrived in July 2018 with promises of at least three years of security patch updates. Hence, this month's update may be the last that the Mi A2 Lite receives officially. Certainly, Xiaomi will not be providing any more bug fixes or new features to the Android One-based device.
