MIUI 12.5 has arrived on the Redmi Note 7, Mi 9 Lite and Mi 9 in more regions. The OS update does not bring Android 11 to the Redmi Note 7 though, unfortunately.

MIUI 12.5 has reached another three devices in more regions. According to a company blog post, Xiaomi has started issuing its latest OS to the Mi 9 Lite and the Redmi Note 7 on its global MIUI branch and the Mi 9 on its European branch.

While Xiaomi has not provided many details about the three builds, a post on the r/Xiaomi subreddit confirms that several people have received it on their Mi 9 Lite handsets. If your device remains on MIUI 12, then V12.5.2.0.RFCMIXM is the build to look out for.

Additionally, Xiaomi Firmware Updater states that V12.5.1.0.RFAEUXM and V12.5.1.0.QFGMIXM have reached Stable Beta status for the Mi 9 and the Redmi Note 7, respectively. As the build number implies, the Redmi Note 7 remains on Android 10, too.

Theoretically, this means that Xiaomi has pushed these builds to select devices to determine if it has missed any bugs during in-house testing. If you would like to try these MIUI 12.5 builds now, you can download them via the Xiaomi Firmware Updater links provided below.
