Xiaomi confirms that 16 additional devices are now eligible for MIUI 12.5
Xiaomi has confirmed the next set of devices that will receive MIUI 12.5 in China. Typically, Xiaomi rolls out OS upgrades to devices in its home market first, with global, European and other branches following a month or so afterwards. Initially, Xiaomi issued MIUI 12.5 to seven devices in China, including the Mi 9 SE, as we previously reported.
However, the company has now opened MIUI 12.5 to an additional 16 handsets. According to a Weibo post, the 16 devices are as follows:
- Mi 10S
- Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G
- Mi 9
- Mi CC9 Pro
- Redmi K40 Pro
- Redmi K40
- Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition
- Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition
- Redmi K30 Pro
- Redmi K30 5G
- Redmi K30i 5G
- Redmi K20 Pro
- Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Redmi Note 9
- Redmi 10X Pro 5G
- Redmi 10X 5G
These devices should start receiving MIUI 12.5 on MIUI's Stable Chinese branch, soon. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not confirmed when it plans to bring its latest OS to these devices. It has gone quiet on its MIUI Global Twitter channel, but MIUI 12.5 has already reached some global models, as we have previously reported.
