Xiaomi has started updating a slew of devices to MIUI 12.5 in Europe. July is expected to be a big month for Xiaomi when it comes to MIUI 12.5 updates, with up to 14 devices in line for the OS update. So far this week, Xiaomi has brought its latest OS to the following devices:
- Mi 9 - V12.5.1.0.RFAEUXM
- Mi 9T Pro - V12.5.1.0.RKFEUXM
- Mi Note 10/Mi Note 10 Pro - V12.5.1.0.RFDEUXM / OTA

You should only attempt to install updates manually if you know what you are doing beforehand. Otherwise, you may be at risk of losing your data, which would be difficult to recover unless you have backups.
Additionally, these updates only apply to devices enrolled on MIUI's European branch. You check what MIUI branch your device is on by heading to About Phone and reading its current build number. If the build number contains 'EUXM', then it is running European firmware. While it is possible to switch between MIUI branches, you can only do so once you have unlocked your handset, a process that will wipe your data.
Typically, Xiaomi rolls out OS updates in batches. Hence, it may take a few days or weeks for the corresponding MIUI 12.5 update to arrive on your handset.
