Lenovo releases new 16-inch ThinkPad globally with 120 Hz display, over 28 hours battery life and Intel Wildcat Lake
Lenovo has quietly expanded the availability of one of its Intel Wildcat Lake-based ThinkPads to more countries. Specifically, the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 has now joined its smaller 14-inch sibling across Europe to replace the ThinkPad E16 Gen 3 we reviewed last year (curr. $1,149 on Amazon).
To recap, the 16-inch laptop launched in July on Lenovo’s PSREF website alongside the smaller ThinkPad E14 Gen 8. Then a few days later, the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 landed in Oceania, East Asia and Southeast Asia a few days later. Incidentally, Lenovo already sells the laptop with Wildcat Lake processors in the US from $1,399.
Pricing starts at €1,279-€1,670 in the Eurozone, with the exception of Italy and Spain, where Lenovo sells more expensive starting configurations by default. By contrast, the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 costs at least £1,399 in the UK. Typically, the 16-inch laptop contains a Core 5 320 processor, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 256 GB SSD, a 48 Wh battery and a 1200p IPS display with 400 nits peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
However, one can also configure up to the Core 7 350 and 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, as well as 1 TB of M.2 2242 storage, a 120 Hz IPS display and a 64 Wh battery rated for over 28 hours at 150 nits during local video playback. Selecting these components raises prices to at least €2,039 in the Eurozone and £2,230 in the UK, though. Please see Lenovo’s website for more details.
