Lenovo has unveiled its latest tablet: the Lenovo Tab. The company also launched the higher-end Idea Tab Pro with a Dimensity processor; however, the Lenovo Tab caters to the budget market.
Design
The Lenovo Tab has a sophisticated look. The rear of the device houses a single camera cutout and a not-too-flashy Lenovo logo in the middle. There are two color options for the tablet: Luna Grey and Polar Blue. The device is just 7.5 mm thick.
The tablet also comes with multiple cases, including a Clear Case with a stand, a Folio Case for better protection, and a Play Suite case designed for kids.
Specifications
The Lenovo Tab features a 10.1-inch panel with a resolution of 1920x1200px. It has a PPI of 224 and a screen-to-body ratio of around 83%. Unfortunately, the device does not get a high refresh rate and sticks to a 60Hz refresh rate. The display can reach a brightness of up to 400 nits.
Powering the budget tablet is the Helio G85 chipset. It is a popular processor for many tablets and phones in the same price category. The octa-core CPU is paired with a Mali-G52 GPU. It is based on a 12-nanometer process and scores an average of 265K points on AnTuTu according to NanoReview. The tablet has 4GB RAM and options of 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, the internal storage is also expandable via a MicroSD card slot.
The tablet features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus. The front houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The Lenovo Tab comes with a 5,100mAh battery that supports 15W Quick Charge via the USB-C port. For connectivity, the device features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. The dual speakers on the tablet are tuned by Dolby Atmos. Fortunately, there is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. The tablet boots with Android 14 operating system.
Pricing and availability
The Lenovo Tab has an expected starting price of $159. It will be available for purchase starting June 2025.
