Lenovo has introduced a new variant of the Legion Y9000P gaming laptop, which happens to be the China-only version of the Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 in terms of specifications. This new variant adopts a design language that Diablo fans will surely appreciate, courtesy of its Diablo IV co-branding.
High-end Legion gaming laptop with up to GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU
Apart from the branding, and a bunch of Diablo IV-inspired wallpapers, the Legion Y9000P Diablo IV features similar hardware design and internal specifications. The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU allows for very decent performance figures, with the multi-core performance in raw benchmarks easily outshining other high-end chips from Intel, while trading blows with the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX.
Customers can opt for either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU (175 watt, 16 GB GDDR7), or the lower-end RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU (140 watt, 12 GB GDDR7). We tested the Legion Pro 7i with the RTX 5080 Laptop, and were left thoroughly impressed with its performance. Needless to say, all this performance comes at the price of a large footprint, high core temperatures during sustained loads, and bulky design. For the most ardent of performance hunters, however, none of this should be an issue.
The Legion Y9000P Diablo IV also sports a 16-inch 240 Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, 32 GB of memory, and a terabyte of storage. The pricing is unsurprisingly quite steep, with the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop-powered variant starting at 16,999 Yuan (~$2,410), and the RTX 5080 Laptop-powered variant starting at 21,999 Yuan ($3,118).
It is unclear if a similar Diablo IV-inspired variant will be launched outside of China as of this writing. That said, the RTX 5080 Laptop-equipped Legion Pro 7i with the same CPU is currently available for $2,715 on Amazon.
