IKEA releases new smart lighting driver for wireless control

The IKEA Dubbelkisel driver for wireless control has been released in various European countries. This new smart home product leaked earlier in 2026, when it was spotted in the database for the Thread protocol.

IKEA’s new Dubbelkisel smart driver is designed to enable users to remotely control standard integrated lighting from the brand. These light strips could be installed under a cabinet or along a bookshelf. Controls like switching the lights on or off, or adjusting the brightness level, are available via the IKEA Home smart app thanks to the device. The driver with the brand’s Dirigera Hub and is compatible with the Bilresa smart remotes. On top of this, the product is Matter compatible, which means that it should be able to integrate with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.

The Dubbelkisel driver has a maximum power output of 30W, with 90% efficiency under high load. It is rectangular in shape, with a slim white plastic body measuring 205 x 55 x 18 mm (~8.07 x 2.17 x 0.71 inches). Plus, there are two hooks to mount the smart driver onto the underside of a cabinet or on a wall.

You can now buy the IKEA Dubbelkisel driver for wireless control, smart white, 30 W, in countries like the Netherlands and Germany. In this market, it retails for between €18 and €22. IKEA has yet to announce when this product will be released in other countries, like the US or the UK.
