Anyone who enjoys management games but doesn't feel like managing yet another city or farm may find Parkasaurus a welcome change of pace. Here, players build and manage their own dinosaur park – though not in the style of Jurassic Park. The dinosaurs in Parkasaurus are more cute than terrifying. Anyone who wants to check it out can currently pick up the 2018 title from Washbear Studio at a 90% discount for $2.49 instead of $24.99. According to SteamDB, the management game has never been this cheap before.

Players build enclosures, create suitable habitats for their prehistoric reptiles and take care of staff and visitors in addition to meeting their dinosaurs' needs. New species are unlocked through research and fossils. However, if the cute prehistoric creatures become unhappy, they can break out – and suddenly the park does turn into Jurassic Park for a moment. In such cases, players can even grab a tranquilizer gun themselves and recapture the escapees from a first-person perspective. Those who prefer to take things easy can work on their own dinosaur park in sandbox mode outside the campaign. This also works on the Steam Deck. Controllers are supported as well.

According to German gaming magazine PC Games, Parkasaurus offers varied park management with a charming presentation. The relaxing soundtrack, reminiscent of The Sims or Animal Crossing, is particularly praised. The difficulty is on the lower side, making the game a potentially good choice for newcomers to the management and park simulation genres. Experienced genre fans, on the other hand, may find it lacking in challenge. The review also criticized the unreliable staff AI, intrusive pop-ups, several technical issues and various quality-of-life shortcomings in the controls. As a result, PC Games gave it “only” 7 out of 10. Steam players seem less bothered by these issues, judging by the more than 3,000 reviews, 93% of which are positive.
