Frozenheim tasks you with gathering resources, expanding your settlement, repelling enemy attacks, and exploring a dangerous world. Blending city-builder and strategy mechanics, you'll need to build and lead a powerful Viking clan.

Viking stories have fascinated many people, and Frozenheim is a strategy city builder inspired by them, developed by the Polish studio Paranoid Interactive. In this game, you set out to find a new land and build a future for your Viking clan.

With the help of your people, you’ll have to construct your first buildings and gather the surrounding resources. Each season has its own advantages, and you’ll be able to fish, hunt, or grow crops to survive the winter.

However, winter isn't the only threat. Different enemies in Midgard will attack you. To defend yourself, train warriors and use various strategies. Form shield walls, attack your opponents from the side, and use your berserkers. Depending on your playstyle, you'll be able to recruit heroes, build siege engines, or even invoke the power of Ragnarök. In addition, you can play in free-build mode or compete against other players in online battles on various maps.

On Steam, players criticize the game's balance and its difficulty. Resource management is also considered lackluster, and the game can become repetitive. Furthermore, the units seem underdeveloped. Nevertheless, several reviews highlight the game's environment and its graphics. The building system is also praised, as are the progression trees. As a result, among the 3,919 reviews, 69% are positive.

Currently, the 70% discount on Steam reduces the price from $19.99 to $5.99. But according to SteamDB, this offer ends on September 21, 2026.
