Hyperkin's ShockLine replaces your retro consoles/handhelds power supply with USB-C ones

Hyperkin has announced a line of power solutions for retro consoles and classic handhelds. Called ShockLine, each kit replaces the original power cables and adapters with USB-C ones.
Hyperkin's ShockLine currently has five versions, with their prices ranging from $19.99 to $24.99. Buyers will be able to get a ShockLine kit for consoles and handhelds such as the Famicom, Super Famicom, NES, Sega Model 1, SNES, GameCube, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 2DS, Nintendo DSi, and Game Boy Advance.
Each kit comes with a USB-C cable, a compact USB-C power adapter (up to 45W), and a cable or adapter that connects to the console or handheld.
Hyperkin also says the included compact power adapters help free up space on power strips, unlike the original power bricks that are large and may block a second outlet on the strip. It also says the kits ship with kink-resistant cabling while those designed for handheld have built-in overcharge protection.
Below are the five variants, their supported devices, and respective prices:
- Hyperkin ShockLine USB-C Charging Cable Kit for 3DS, 2DS, and DSi — $19.99
- Hyperkin ShockLine USB-C Power Supply for N64 — $24.99
- Hyperkin ShockLine USB-C Charging Cable Kit for GBA SP & DS — $19.99
- Hyperkin ShockLine USB-C Power Supply for Retro Consoles (Famicom, Super Famicom, NES, Sega Model 1, and SNES) — $24.99
- Hyperkin ShockLine USB-C Power Supply Kit for GameCube — $24.99
The ShockLine series is available to purchase on Hyperkin's website. Buyers can also pre-order them on Amazon ahead of their release on September 16.
