Retroid shares a first look at its dual-screen handheld

Back in July, Retroid disclosed it was working on a dual-screen device that will be released in the second half of 2026. Now, it has shared the first teaser for the handheld and revealed its name too.

According to teasers shared on its social media accounts, the upcoming handheld will launch as the Retroid Pocket Duo. There's also an image and a short video that shows the handheld will have a similar design to the Retroid Pocket Flip 2 (available on Amazon for $269).

As seen in the photo and video, the top half of the Retroid Pocket Duo will have rounded corners, while the display will have uneven bezels. Just like the Pocket Flip 2, the side bezels are noticeably thicker than the one at the top. Retroid has hidden the bottom half of the handheld, so we don't know what the second display and the button layout looks like. However, if you brighten the image, you can see the hinge is also similar to that of the Pocket Flip 2.

There's no info yet on the specifications of the Pocket Duo, although we want to believe it will have AMOLED displays, a Snapdragon processor, stereo speakers, and a full-featured USB-C port. Retroid has also not revealed when the Pocket Duo will be released and how much it will cost. However, based on its previous announcements, we expect these details will be drip-fed until the eventual launch.

When the Retroid Pocket Duo launches, it will be going up against the Ayn Thor, which is arguably the most popular dual-screen Android handheld.
