Retroid Pocket 6 is finally available on Amazon, including the new variant

The Retroid Pocket 6 has been available to buy now for quite a while, but its availability has been limited to Retroid's own website and third-party stores such as AliExpress. Now, those in the US can purchase the Android handheld on Amazon.

The handheld is sold by Moorechip, the parent company of Retroid and AYN, and it ships from Amazon. Buyers who wish to purchase the Retroid Pocket 6 will have the choice to choose from two configurations. There's the 8GB RAM version with 128GB of storage, and it is available in five colors — 16Bit, Black, Light Purple, Orange, and Silver. This version also has asymmetrical thumbsticks (Stick on top) and is sold for $309 on Amazon.

The other version is the 12GB RAM version with 128GB of storage that was released in June as a replacement for the discontinued 12GB RAM + 256GB version. Available in 16Bit, Black, and Silver, you can buy it on Amazon for $349, and like the 8GB RAM version, it has asymmetrical thumbsticks.

While these prices are significantly more expensive than they go for on Retroid's own website — $244 for the 8GB RAM version and $279 for the 12GB RAM version — it is worth mentioning that the prices on the manufacturer's website do not include shipping costs. In addition, sellers on Amazon also have to factor in platform fees and other charges, which are usually passed on to buyers, hence the reason for the higher price tags.

On the plus side, since the listings say the Retroid Pocket 6 ships from Amazon, it means it is already in Amazon's warehouse, so the waiting time should be shorter compared to if you were to order directly from the manufacturer's website.
