Ayn Odin 3 gets its third price hike in 2026

It has only been less than two months since Ayn announced a price increase for its Odin 3 flagship handheld. Now, it has revealed the device will be getting another price increase, making it the third time this year for the Android gaming handheld.

According to an official announcement made on Discord, the price increase affects the Base, Pro, and Max variants of the Odin 3. No price increase has been announced for the Ultra version, which isn't surprising since it has been out of stock for months. So it might as well have been discontinued.

The Odin 3 Base which cost $349 will now sell for $369, while the Odin 3 Pro will increase from $449 to $469. The Odin 3 Max will have its price go up to $529 from $499. Compared to its launch price of $329, the Odin Base is now $40 more expensive while the Odin 3 Pro is $70 more. The Max variant, which launched for $449, now costs $80 more.  

Ayn says the new pricing will go into effect on September 1, 2026; so those who wish to buy the handheld should place their orders before then to get it at the current prices. 

The reason cited for the latest upward review of the prices is the increase in Qualcomm chipset and the rising cost of DRAM and UFS storage. Ayn says it has tried to make the adjustment as small as possible and it is also absorbing part of the costs itself.

Ayn isn't the only handheld manufacturer that has raised prices this month. At the beginning of August, Retroid announced a price increase for its newest handheld, the Pocket Nova. The new pricing took effect a few days later, barely a month after the device was released.
