The Huawei Nova series of smartphones are now said to overthrow their typical mid-range status with a new Ultra variant packed with flagship-grade features. They include the variable-aperture camera technology heretofore reserved for the OEM's top-end devices, not to mention an OLED display, fast charging and even satellite functionality.

A 1.5K OLED display, 100W (or possibly even more?!) charging and "2-way satellite communication": this might be considered a more of less predictable Huawei smartphone leak from prodigious tipster Digital Chat Station - were it not for the fact that it is said to pertain to a member of the allegedly upcoming Nova 12 line, and not an upcoming P- or Mate-series addition.

Furthermore, the OEM is believed to make the new 11-series successor truly Ultra with a 50MP variable aperture of about 1/1.55 inches in size, whereas even that of the P60 Pro Art is 48MP. Its potentially quality display is said to be curved with dual punch-hole cameras, one of which might be a particularly powerful selfie camera at 60MP in resolution and 2x zoom.

The Nova 12 Ultra might pack its new and possibly series-best rear shooter behind a camera hump that may or may not match that of the upcoming, higher-end P70 series in appearance. Finally, Digital Chat Station has made more cryptic references to "ceramic glass" that might be for either the display or the rear panel, and to a "K9" that could denote the purported new Ultra's processor ID.
