Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro global launch plans detailed

According to a new report, Xiaomi has decided to reduce the amount of flagships it offers globally. Surprisingly, the company is alleged to have consigned the Xiaomi 14 Pro to a Chinese exclusive, despite offering the Xiaomi 13 Pro this year.

Over a month has passed since Xiaomi debuted the Xiaomi 14 series, its current flagships and its first built around Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. To recap, the company presented the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro with similar specifications. However, it is also expected to release the Xiaomi 14 Ultra at some stage.

While the Xiaomi 13 Ultra still has limited availability, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro can be purchased across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). According to Xiaomiui, this will not be true for the Xiaomi 14 series. Allegedly, Xiaomi will not launch the Xiaomi 14 Pro globally.

If that proves the case, then it would be the first of Xiaomi's flagship 'Pro' smartphones since the Mi 11 Pro to remain a Chinese exclusive. At this stage, it is unclear whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be available internationally, either. In other words, the Xiaomi 14 may line up as the company's sole flagship in early 2024.
