The Xiaomi 13T is the more affordable version of the Xiaomi 13T Pro, priced at less than $500. This means that the 6.67-inch device costs less than its upper-class counterpart but maintains a similarly strong position in terms of performance and features. During the test, the Xiaomi 13T excelled with its stunning Leica-finished cameras and brilliant AMOLED display.

The Xiaomi 13T features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a remarkable resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The 144 Hz panel was highly praised during testing for both its exceptional brightness and HDR compatibility, which included Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+. Registering a peak value exceeding 1400 cd/m², the Xiaomi 13T stands out as one of the brightest smartphone displays currently available.

Triple camera with 50 MP and 2x optical zoom

The smartphone has a far better triple camera than its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12T, thanks to significant enhancements. A camera arrangement similar to that of the Xiaomi 13T Pro has replaced the formerly less functional 2 MP macro camera.

The camera setup includes an optically stabilized 50 MP main camera (Sony IMX707), a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (Omnivision OV13b), and, as a distinctive feature, a 50 MP telephoto camera equipped with a 2x optical zoom and an impressive 20x digital zoom (Omnivision OV50D). Moreover, the inclusion of two Leica image modes: Leica <yt-formatted-string force-default-style="" class="">Vibrant</yt-formatted-string> and Leica Authentic, encourages users to explore creative possibilities.

Performance in the upper mid-range

The Xiaomi 13T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra, a variant of the Dimensity 8200 optimized for Xiaomi, with improvements to the camera ISP. The camera data is handled by an Imagiq 785 image processor.

Assisted by 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, the Xiaomi 13T delivers performance comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, also found in the Xiaomi Poco F5. While it doesn't match the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ of the Xiaomi 13T Pro, the Xiaomi 13T comfortably sits in the upper mid-range smartphone category.

Charging the Xiaomi 13T is facilitated by the included 67-watt power adapter, allowing the 5000 mAh battery to reach a full charge in just 41 minutes. For even faster recharging, the Xiaomi 13T Pro offers a 120-watt power supply, achieving a full charge in only 20 minutes.
