Huawei P70: New schematic contradicts previous design leaks
The Huawei P70 series has been thought to dump the distinctive camera hump of its P60 predecessors for a less inspired traffic-light or even Nova 12-like rear panel island instead. However, unfortunately for fans of those premium mid-rangers, the legendary leaker Digital Chat Station now asserts that these alleged plans have been cancelled and that the OEM is going another way for its next-gen XMAGE flagships.
According to the tipster's new "line drawing", the same basic conformation of lens cut-outs from the P60 series is back for a second generation. Then again, while the resulting camera hump was ostensibly laid out to look like a DSLR camera body on its side (particularly in the case of the P60 Pro Art), the resulting look is to be disrupted in the P70 series by virtue of the facts that each of the 3 main circles appear to be larger and closer together.
Furthermore, the main camera island in which they might be found has allegedly grown to stretch much further across the rear panel, in the manner of the iQOO 12 series before it. In addition, while it might be easy to imagine that the P70 series' rumored 1-inch sensor could go behind the largest lens cut-out, it is harder to project where its equally fabled periscope zoom module would go.
