Huawei P60 Pro: Global model shines in DxOMark camera tests
Huawei has now launched the P60 Pro globally, albeit with a comparatively high starting price tag. While the company's latest flagship is more expensive than many of its contemporaries, Pixel 7 Pro and Magic5 Pro included, DxOMark analysis suggests that Huawei has pushed the boat out with the device's camera hardware. In short, the P60 Pro scores 156 overall, dislodging the Find X6 Pro as the website's leading smartphone on its camera leaderboard.
As the video below summarises, the P60 Pro only draws criticism in a few areas. Specifically, the handset made skin tones look unnatural in low-light videos. Moreover, the website occasionally noticed lens flares in outdoor scenes and spotted different depth estimations in bokeh shots between the viewfinder and the end result.
However, DxOMark praised the P60 Pro for its ability to increase the depth of field on its primary camera through its variable aperture. Also, the ultra-wide-angle lens works well as a macro camera, while the 48 MP telephoto camera delivers excellent results when shooting photos or videos. Please see our launch article for more details about the P60 Pro and pricing outside China.
