Hori opens up pre-order for its Nintendo Switch 2 wireless controller

Hori, the manufacturer known for gaming accessories has begun accepting pre-orders for its new controller, the Wireless Horipad Turbo. The Switch 2 controller is a more affordable alternative to the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.
Hori doesn't hide the fact that the Wireless Horipad Turbo is for the Nintendo Switch 2 as the controller has the Switch 2 logo smack on the faceplate. However, it is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite. The Wireless Horipad Turbo is available in Aqua, Black, and Frost, all of which have a translucent faceplate.
The controller has asymmetric TMR joysticks that have better accuracy and are less likely to drift compared to analog sticks. It also features turbo function, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and two customizable back buttons. Like Nintendo's controller, there is a C-button in between the D-Pad and right thumbstick.
Another feature the product page mentions is “button lock”, which allows users to disable the top center buttons to prevent accidental presses while gaming. Unfortunately, the Wireless Horipad Turbo lacks HD Rumble 2 and an audio jack, two features that are available on the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.
The Wireless Horipad Turbo controller is available to pre-order directly from Hori's website and from Amazon for $64.99, a significant $24.01 lesser than the price of the Switch 2 Pro Controller. According to the Amazon listing, the Wireless Horipad Turbo will be released on March 2, 2026.
