Honor 200 Pro leak debunked, mystery design improvement promised instead
Huawei has developed a highly distinctive, multi-lensed camera hump that is exclusive to the Pura 70 Ultra - until Honor 'borrows' it for its upcoming 100 Pro successor, according to a new leak. However, that rumor has been decried by a more official source.
The device in question - which will allegedly incorporate the Pura 70 Ultra's rear camera lenses, albeit with a different surround - has popped up again in a Weibo image that shows the "200 Pro" in the hands of someone apparently being interviewed on a red carpet.
The user Digital Starfish sent this photo to Honor China CMO Jiang Hairong-Harrison, along with the (doubtless jocular) suggestion the OEM sue the people responsible for this leak to the tune of 1 million yuan (~$138,000)).
However, that action would be unnecessary, apparently, as the executive promptly dismissed the tip as a "fake" while reassuring Honor fans that the "real" device would "look better than this". Therefore, while the 200 series might now be thought of as on the way in a more creditable manner, it might not resemble anything already on the market.
